Rachel's preschool concert

This afternoon Rachel's preschool class had a little Christmas concert and party. She is the only girl in her class, but she doesn't seem to mind!

Visit with Santa

Unlike the last two years, Rachel was very excited and happy to see Santa this year. She hopped onto his lap and told him what she wants for Christmas: a fruit basket and watermelon. Julia told him she doesn't know what she wants. These two are easy to please!

Connected

Lately Rachel is obsessed with the movie "Barbie and the Diamond Castle". She wants to watch it ALL the time. When the boys groan about it playing for the umpteenth time, I remind them how they made us watch Blues Clues videos and "Toy Story 2" over and over and over when they were her age.

I have to admit that I kind of enjoy the Barbie princess movies. I also enjoy Rachel and Julia's version of this song, that they sing together often.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

On Sunday night the kids had their Sunday School concert. They all did a great job. I'm hoping to have some video from it on here soon. Yesterday they made gingerbread houses with their cousins.

Halloween night

Ready to go trick-or-treating (with lots of layers underneath!)

Our spooky house

Home with all their loot: my kitty, bag of trash, butterfly and nerd.

A picnic with their dollies

Here are Julia and Rachel saying grace while having a picnic with their dolls.

They told me that they were on their way to a hotel, and just thought they would stop and have a picnic along the way.

Then Rachel said "Take a picture of this, Mommy!"

Renaissance party

Last night we had our annual Halloween party. The theme was the Renaissance. We had singing and skits, and even jousting. It was so much fun to see the costumes everyone came in. I've already started planning for next year!

More wedding pictures

Full circle

When Jamie and I got married, his nephew was our ring bearer. This weekend that little ring bearer got married, and Quentin was the ring bearer at his wedding. Julia was the flower girl.

Apple-picking

For their first field trip, Rachel's preschool class went apple-picking.
