Just like we did last year, my sister and I took our girls to PEI for a few days. The weather didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked, but we still had fun!

Rachel's birthday party

Rachel loves pandas, so for her 3rd birthday she had a black and white panda party. She and her friends and cousins had fun dancing, playing with playdough, and eating panda cake and other black and white goodies. We gave her a ride-on tractor with a trailer as a gift. Not very girly, but she loves it! The girls have fun giving each other rides, as well as their dollies.

Crockpot steel cut oats

I decided to start posting links to recipes when I find some that we particularly enjoy. This morning we had apple oatmeal in the slow cooker. The kids and I really enjoyed it (and they are not always fond of oatmeal). It would be even better on a cold winter morning, but it was so nice to wake up to the smell of warm apples, cinnamon and oats this morning.

The girls' new room

I decided to give the girls' room a makeover. Rachel recently switched from her crib to a toddler bed, and now she is in a "big girl" bed. She made the transition just fine.
